Are you a Physics, Chemistry or Biology graduate, with a 2:1 or higher and wondering what your next steps are?

Job Details - Science Technician – Haringey
  • Science Degree, attaining grades of 2:1 or above.
  • Experience working with young people ideal.
  • conducting and supporting scientific investigations and experiments.
  • planning, setting up and undertaking controlled experiments and trials.
  • recording, analysing and interpreting data.
  • collecting, preparing and/or testing sample.
Person Specification – Science Technician – Haringey

An ideal candidate for this role is a graduate of science who holds a degree in Physics, Chemistry or Biology and achieved at least a 2:1. This successful school are looking for a someone who has a strong academic background, is passionate about science and able to demonstrate that passion in a classroom support setting. Prior experience tutoring / mentoring young people would be advantageous to your application but not essential.

As a Science Technician, your responsibilities will include the preparation of workshop apparatus/equipment and materials as required, advising, and assisting in the preparation of practicals and controlled assessments, maintenance and cleaning of equipment after use. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to supervise and assist students during lessons when required.
