Smile Education is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Grimsby, part of the Enquire Learning Trust (ELT), for an experienced and enthusiastic Cook to lead the school's catering provision.

Ideally located for candidates travelling from Cleethorpes, New Waltham, Laceby, Scartho, Waltham, Healing, Immingham and Humberston, the school offers excellent road links, making it easily accessible from across North East Lincolnshire.

The Role
As the school's Cook, you will:
  • Prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals from a set menu.
  • Manage food ordering, deliveries and stock control.
  • Maintain accurate daily records and financial documentation.
  • Ensure the kitchen and dining areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
  • Lead by example in maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
  • Report faulty equipment and ensure all kitchen procedures are followed.
  • Deliver an excellent catering service for pupils, staff and visitors.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Previous experience working as a Cook, Chef or Catering Supervisor.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently while maintaining high standards.
  • A positive, reliable and customer-focused approach.
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
  • Ability to provide a full two years of employment and/or education references.
  • Right to work in the UK.
