Year 2 Teacher – Exciting Opportunity (Start After Easter)

Create Education is seeking a passionate and motivated Year 2 Teacher to join a lovely Catholic primary school located in the heart of Lewisham, starting after Easter.

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed teacher to join a nurturing, child-centred Catholic school with a strong sense of community and values at its core. The school provides a warm, inclusive environment where every child is supported to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for the transition through Key Stage 1, supporting them in developing confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (ECTs are encouraged to apply)
• Have experience or a strong understanding of Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2
• Be a reflective and effective classroom practitioner
• Be able to inspire, motivate, and engage young learners
• Demonstrate a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
• Be supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons for a Year 2 class
• Support pupils in preparation for end of Key Stage 1 expectations
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community
• Contribute to the positive ethos and wider life of the school
