An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding
Teacher of Geography to join our forward-looking humanities department. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, committed to high standards, and eager to play an active role in shaping engaging and ambitious learning experiences for students across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Geography lessons across
Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring excellent progress and outcomes for all learners. You will plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons, assess student progress effectively, and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Geography across KS3, KS4, and KS5
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
- Maintain high standards of classroom practice and behaviour management
- Support students’ academic and personal development
Person Specification Essential:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) gained through PGCE or another UK-recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Geography at KS3, KS4, and KS5
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable:- Experience delivering A-Level Geography
- Evidence of strong outcomes and student progress
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities
