two SEN Teaching Assistants/Learning Support Assistants for September 2026.
We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate and dedicated individuals to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within a mainstream classroom setting.
There are
two vacancies available:
- Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant
- Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant
The school will be holding
trial days during the first week of September, with successful candidates starting in an ongoing full-time role immediately afterwards.
The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support that enables pupils to access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities include:- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
- Supporting children with needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
We are looking for candidates who have:- Previous experience supporting children with SEND.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Support Worker or in a similar role.
- A patient, caring and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for helping children succeed.

What We Offer:- Daily pay between £90 and £120, depending on PAYE or Umbrella payment preference.
