Job Details - Science Teaching Assistant – Newham
 
· Knowledge of quality control procedures and techniques.
· Proficiency in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
· Familiarity with laboratory equipment and techniques.
· Understanding of FDA regulations related to laboratory testing.
· Strong mathematical skills for data analysis.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
 
Person Specification – Science Teaching Assistant – Newham
 
An ideal candidate for this role is a graduate of science who holds a degree in Physics, Chemistry or Biology and achieved at least a 2:1. This successful school are looking for a someone who has a strong academic background, is passionate about science and able to demonstrate that passion in a classroom support setting. Prior experience tutoring / mentoring young people would be advantageous to your application but not essential.
As a science teaching assistant your responsibilities will include the preparation of workshop apparatus/equipment and materials as required, advising, and assisting in the preparation of practical's and controlled assessments, maintenance and cleaning of equipment after use. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to supervise and assist students during lessons when required.
