Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Join Our Team:
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide high-quality support to pupils, helping to promote engagement, confidence, and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils within the classroom, in small groups, or on a one-to-one basis.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals where appropriate.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs, adapting approaches to meet individual requirements.
About You -
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience working within a UK primary or secondary school (essential or highly desirable).
  • Is confident working with children and young people, building positive and professional relationships.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every pupil succeed.
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, initiative, and a positive attitude.
A degree in a core subject (such as English, Mathematics, or Science) would be advantageous, although it is not essential for the right candidate.
