We are delighted to be working with a highly regarded independent school in the Borough of Camden. The school is seeking to appoint a
Nursery Room Leader starting in December. The setting provides exceptional care and education for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), fostering an environment where children are encouraged to explore, grow, and thrive with confidence. The school is known for its nurturing ethos, child-centred approach, and commitment to helping every child develop a lifelong love of learning.
As a Nursery Room Leader, you will play a key role in guiding the learning experiences of our youngest pupils and supporting staff within your room. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a warm, collaborative team environment and competitive pay.
Duties:- Lead the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum
- Supervise and support Nursery Practitioners within your room
- Create a stimulating, inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity and independence
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are rigorously followed and children’s wellbeing is prioritised
- Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and families
- Monitor and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and observations
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding development, achievements, and next steps
- Work collaboratively with the wider Early Years team to uphold the school’s values and standards
Requirements:- Level 3 Early Years qualification or higher (required)
- Strong knowledge of EYFS principles and child development
- Previous experience in a Nursery Room Leader or senior early years role preferred
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Warm, patient, and nurturing approach to working with young children
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, positive, and inspiring learning environment
