Job Description:
Are you a Teacher who is looking for a new school this November?
If you are, we are pleased to be working with a ‘GOOD’ Primary School situated in London in the Borough of Islington. The school are looking to appoint a Year 2 Teacher starting in November. The school caters for and works with students between EYFS and KS2. The school aims to create an environment where pupils ‘care, learn, aspire and succeed’.
As a Year 2 Primary School Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and futures of our young students. This is a full-time/permanent position that offers competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum in year 2
- Use effective teaching strategies to educate students in various subjects
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage student behaviour and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies
- Provide individualised attention and support to students with diverse learning needs
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and assignments
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student performance and progress
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- QTS, ECT or PGCE Qualification
- Valid teaching certification/license
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behaviour
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching
