Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) – Excellent Career Opportunities

Person Specification:
  • Holds QTS, with ECTs encouraged to apply
  • Dedicated, professional, and passionately demonstrates classroom talent
  • Holds a relevant teaching qualification and is an outstanding classroom practitioner
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Has a deep passion for languages and the ability to instil this enthusiasm in students
  • Is committed to professional development and can effectively manage the department to maintain high standards
  • Has experience in curriculum design, assessment, and departmental leadership
  • Has the energy to build on recent GCSE/A-level results and drive forward high-quality post-16 language provision

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure high standards of teaching and learning in MFL
  • Develop and deliver a forward-thinking curriculum that inspires and challenges students
  • Support and mentor MFL teachers, fostering a culture of continuous professional development
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive school-wide strategies for academic success
  • Ensure the department achieves high academic outcomes and contributes to the overall success of the school
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to languages, such as clubs, cultural events, and language trips
