Job Title: Science Teacher – April 2026 Start
Location: Witham, Essex
Contract: April 2026 – End of Academic Year (Potential to Extend)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a friendly and supportive secondary school in Witham, Essex. This position is due to start in April 2026 and will run until the end of the academic year, with potential to extend for the right candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with experience in one or more science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) who is committed to inspiring students and fostering a love of learning.
The Role:
  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and prepare engaging and challenging lessons
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and departmental initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have experience teaching Science at secondary level
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
  • Be passionate about Science and student achievement
  • Possess strong communication, organisation, and collaborative skills
