About the Role We are looking to appoint a passionate and motivated Early Career Teacher of Geography to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a well-structured environment with strong mentoring and development support.
You will be joining a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality teaching and ensuring all students are supported to reach their full potential.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed
  • Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback
  • Work closely with experienced colleagues to develop your teaching practice
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including form tutoring and enrichment activities
  • Participate fully in the school’s ECT programme and ongoing professional development
What We’re Looking For
  • QTS (or on track to achieve) and a relevant Geography or related degree
  • A strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies
  • A passion for Geography and the ability to inspire young people
  • Commitment to high expectations and inclusive education
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Willingness to learn, develop and contribute as part of a team
