Are you ready to inspire, challenge, and support students to reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Psychology to join a vibrant, forward-thinking secondary and sixth form environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who thrives on creativity, engagement, and making a real difference in the lives of students.
In this role, you will:
  • Deliver an engaging, broad, and differentiated Psychology curriculum that motivates students and supports their academic and personal growth
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students, including serving as a tutor to a designated group
  • Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and help students achieve their individual potential
  • Play a full role in operational and strategic planning, including lesson planning, developing resources, and contributing to departmental initiatives
  • Support the ongoing professional development of yourself and colleagues and engage in quality assurance processes
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders
We are looking for someone who:
  • Holds QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
  • Has successful teaching experience at secondary level (including teaching practice) and ideally experience in multi-ethnic urban schools or 11-18 settings
  • Understands the theory and practice of effective teaching and learning, with high expectations for all students
  • Is skilled at creating a safe, motivating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Can write lesson plans, develop resources, and assess students effectively
  • Has strong ICT skills, including the ability to use interactive technology creatively in lessons
  • Can work collaboratively as part of a team and build positive relationships with staff, students, and the wider community
  • Communicates effectively both in writing and verbally
  • Demonstrates excellent time management, organisation, and the ability to lead and manage their own work
  • Is able to inspire students, raise aspirations, and support them to achieve their best
