Science Teacher (KS3–KS5)
Full-Time | Permanent
Start Date: May or September 2026
We are seeking to appoint a highly capable and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering strong academic outcomes across all key stages.
The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification). Applications without these qualifications will not be considered.
You will be expected to teach Science across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, and therefore must demonstrate secure subject knowledge and the ability to deliver clear, well-structured lessons that support progression for all learners.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5
  • Adapting teaching to meet the needs of different learners while maintaining high expectations
  • Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress effectively
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the Science curriculum
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive and professional department
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS and a PGCE (or equivalent) – essential
  • Have experience teaching Science across KS3–KS5
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and clear, effective teaching practice
  • A second teachable subject would be a bonus, e.g. Maths.
  • Be organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards
  • Show a reflective approach and a willingness to develop professionally
