Science Teacher (KS3–KS5)
Full-Time | Permanent
Start Date: May or September 2026
We are seeking to appoint a highly capable and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering strong academic outcomes across all key stages.
The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification). Applications without these qualifications will not be considered.
You will be expected to teach Science across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, and therefore must demonstrate secure subject knowledge and the ability to deliver clear, well-structured lessons that support progression for all learners.
Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5
Adapting teaching to meet the needs of different learners while maintaining high expectations
Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress effectively
Contributing to the ongoing development of the Science curriculum
Working collaboratively within a supportive and professional department

The successful candidate will:

Hold QTS and a PGCE (or equivalent) – essential
Have experience teaching Science across KS3–KS5
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and clear, effective teaching practice
A second teachable subject would be a bonus, e.g. Maths.
Be organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards
Show a reflective approach and a willingness to develop professionally
