This is an exciting opportunity to lead an inclusive, compassionate, and high-achieving specialist provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

You will be expected to: Leadership and Management
  • Lead and inspire a passionate school team to deliver outstanding SEND education and therapeutic care;
  • Drive continuous improvement through effective self-evaluation and strategic leadership;
  • Ensure compliance with DfE and Ofsted standards, maintaining high expectations across all areas;
  • Model reflective, inclusive leadership that promotes accountability and shared success;
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, health, and wellbeing for all pupils and staff.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, local authorities, and external agencies;
  • Promote open and transparent communication across the school community;
  • Represent the school with professionalism and integrity within the wider education network.
School Development
  • Champion high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum;
  • Empower and develop staff through performance management and targeted CPD;
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure sustainable impact and value for money.
We are looking for a leader who:
  • Is an experienced and inspiring school leader, ideally with a background in SEND or specialist education;
  • Has a proven track record of raising standards and improving outcomes for pupils;
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, organisational, and leadership skills;
  • Is passionate about developing staff, empowering teams, and fostering a supportive, high-performing culture;
  • Is fully committed to safeguarding, equality, and pupil-centred practice;
  • Shares our belief that every child deserves the chance to thrive.
