We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient, and experienced SEMH Primary Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting pupils to achieve both academically and personally, creating a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support their emotional wellbeing and learning.
  • Manage behaviour positively using restorative and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents/carers, and external professionals.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where required.
  • Maintain high expectations while providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Proven experience teaching within a primary setting.
  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs or other additional needs.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable children.
