What You’ll Be Doing:As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping pupils with special educational needs feel secure, supported, and successful in their learning.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Supporting pupils with EHCPs and additional needs, both in class and in small groups or one-to-one sessions.
- Helping children build confidence, develop independence, and stay engaged in their learning.
- Working closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and outside professionals to ensure the right strategies and resources are in place.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation through clear routines and consistent support.
- Contributing to planning, monitoring progress, and creating a calm, positive classroom environment.
We’d Love to Hear From You If:- You’ve already supported children with SEN in a school setting.
- You’re patient, caring, and adaptable, with a natural ability to build strong relationships with children.
- You’re confident in your communication skills and happy to collaborate with others.
- You hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, ideally at grade C/4 or above.
- You’re committed to safeguarding and child protection, and keen to take part in ongoing training.
