Speech & Language Intervention SEN Teaching Assistant (Additionally Resourced Provision)

Location: Dagenham
Pay: £105–£115 per day, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm
Start: ASAP

Create Education is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to deliver Speech & Language interventions within a secondary school’s Additional Resource Provision in Dagenham.

Previous experience delivering speech and language interventions is essential. We are looking for someone who can adapt their approach to individual pupils and work closely with teachers and the wider SEND team.

Responsibilities

Deliver targeted speech and language interventions to individual pupils and small groups.
Support pupils’ communication, understanding and participation in learning.
Deliver literacy and numeracy interventions matched to pupils’ needs.
Help pupils use assistive technology to communicate and access lessons.
Record progress and share feedback with teachers and the SEND team.
Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils.

What we’re looking for

Essential: Hands-on experience delivering speech and language interventions with children or young people.
Experience supporting pupils with autism and other special educational needs.
Confidence adapting activities for pupils working at different levels.
A patient, organised approach and the ability to work as part of a school team.
