About the RoleWorking alongside the class teacher, you will support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, contribute to daily routines, and provide nurturing, hands-on support to individual children and small groups. The role is ideal for an early years professional who thrives in a collaborative, child-centred setting.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Key Responsibilities- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate EYFS activities
- Assist with preparing and organising classroom resources and learning spaces
- Provide tailored support for individual children and small groups
- Promote children’s independence, confidence and social skills through play and structured activities
- Assist with personal care routines, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment
- Contribute to observations and assessments to inform planning
- Communicate positively and professionally with children, colleagues and parents
- Adhere to all safeguarding and health & safety procedures
About You- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years Education or equivalent (essential)
- Experience working with children aged 2–5 in a nursery or school setting
- Solid understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- Warm, patient and supportive, with a genuine passion for early years education
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- First Aid and Safeguarding training desirable (training can be provided)
