An established independent school in London is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join its Nursery team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a warm and supportive Early Years environment that places a strong emphasis on high-quality care and early learning.
About the Role
Working alongside the class teacher, you will support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, contribute to daily routines, and provide nurturing, hands-on support to individual children and small groups. The role is ideal for an early years professional who thrives in a collaborative, child-centred setting.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate EYFS activities
  • Assist with preparing and organising classroom resources and learning spaces
  • Provide tailored support for individual children and small groups
  • Promote children’s independence, confidence and social skills through play and structured activities
  • Assist with personal care routines, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment
  • Contribute to observations and assessments to inform planning
  • Communicate positively and professionally with children, colleagues and parents
  • Adhere to all safeguarding and health & safety procedures
About You
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years Education or equivalent (essential)
  • Experience working with children aged 2–5 in a nursery or school setting
  • Solid understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Warm, patient and supportive, with a genuine passion for early years education
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • First Aid and Safeguarding training desirable (training can be provided)
