We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in a vibrant school in Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for education and a commitment to helping every child succeed.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring their educational, emotional, and social development.
- Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Offer one-on-one or small group support as required.
- Act as a communication bridge for Spanish-speaking pupils and families, ensuring inclusivity and understanding.
- Assist in creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements:- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Spanish (spoken and written) is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A patient, compassionate, and nurturing approach to working with children.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
