About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team in Haringey, working in vibrant and inclusive primary and secondary schools. You will play a pivotal role in supporting pupils with diverse needs, enabling them to achieve their full potential in a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing tailored support to students with SEN on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assisting with personal care needs, where necessary.
  • Monitoring and recording students’ progress, sharing insights with teachers and parents.
  • Encouraging and motivating pupils to engage actively in their learning.
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (in an educational or care setting).
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is calm, patient, and adaptable, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
