Contract: Full-time, Temporary
Are you a passionate and driven individual who wants to make a lasting impact on children’s lives? We are partnering with a warm, inclusive primary school in Lewisham looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1 and KS2. This is your chance to work closely with students, make a difference in their learning, and be a key part of a supportive school community.

This isn’t just a typical TA role – you will:
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils to provide targeted support and interventions
  • Be directly involved in helping children reach their full potential academically and personally
  • Play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to deliver exciting and impactful learning experiences
What You’ll Do
  • Support pupils’ learning across KS1 and KS2 with tailored guidance
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson planning and classroom organisation
  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions to help pupils thrive
  • Encourage engagement, focus, and confidence in every lesson
  • Support smooth classroom routines, transitions, and positive behaviour
  • Be part of a team committed to pupils’ academic success and well-being
What We’re Looking For
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grades 4–9)
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a primary school
  • A proactive, patient, and positive approach to teaching and learning
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is a bonus
