Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who thrives in upper Key Stage 2? Have you supported Year 6 pupils through the build-up to SATs and know what it takes to help them succeed - academically and emotionally? If so, this role could be the perfect fit for you.
A well-regarded Church of England primary school in Central London is looking for a skilled and dedicated Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. You’ll play a key part in helping pupils feel confident, capable, and calm in the lead-up to their SATs and beyond.

What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you’ll support pupils in the lead-up to and during their SATs by:

Working with small groups and individuals to reinforce key skills in reading, writing, and maths.
Supporting pupils with test techniques, time management, and stress reduction.
Helping to differentiate classwork and revision tasks to meet varied needs.
Collaborating closely with the class teacher to monitor progress and adapt support strategies.
Encouraging and motivating pupils to build confidence and resilience as independent learners.
Contributing to a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment.

We’d Love to Hear From You If:

You’ve previously worked in Year 6 or KS2 and supported pupils during SATs preparation.
You have strong subject knowledge in core areas (especially reading, writing, and maths).
You’re positive, patient, and proactive in helping children reach their potential.
You can manage small groups with a calm, consistent presence and adapt to changing needs.
You hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, ideally grade C/4 or above.
You’re committed to safeguarding and are happy to engage in ongoing professional development.
